Remembering Chloe Jones ...

Today would have turned 39 years old, was born in Houston in June 17, 1975. Nine years have passed since the death of Chloe Jones went off prematurely when she was not yet 30 years old, in June 4, 2005. A life difficult for her, despite the temporary success in the porn cinema. Her name is also linked to a scandal involving a well-known Hollywood star like Charlie Sheen and indeed, according to a supposed "scoop" by the tabloid "Goble”, the actor may have had an indirect role in the death of Chloe. The real name of Chloe Jones was Melinda Dee Taylor, she grew up in the small town of Silsbee, Texas, and after graduating from Silsbee High School in 1994 she became a model. Chloe was the Penthouse Pet of the Month in April 1998 and in 2001 signed an exclusive contract with the New Sensations, making her debut in porn the same year in “Love Machine”. Her was not a long career, she retired from the adult industry in 2004 and performed in fewer than thirty films during that time for New Sensation and other production companies as Vivid and Digital Sin. Her working relationships with the producers have always been problematic. The contract that she had signed with Vivid lasted only five months, and one of the causes that led to the break with the production company of Los Angeles, according to unconfirmed rumors, would have been the abuse of prescription drugs that the texan artist had already started in that period.  During the years of her success, she posed for Playboy and Vanity Fair, and was also in the cast of the TV series "Baywatch". After her retirement from the set, she worked briefly as an escort, during which time she claimed to have numbered Charlie Sheen and Woody Harrelson among her clients. Chloe’s claims were met widely with disbelief, in part because she sold her "story" of Sheen to a tabloid. Charlie Sheen's wife, Denise Richards, later filed a restraining order against her husband in which she believes that he was in fact a client of Chloe. In the restraining order filing, she states Sheen never denied seeing her. She further states that when she questioned Sheen about his possible involvement in Chloe’s death, he repeatedly responded by saying "no comment”. Speaking exclusively to the Globe, Chloe’s mother Donna Jones Noeller says, "I've seen a lawyer about filing a wrongful death suit against Mr. Sheen. I think he didn't slip her the pills -- but he drove her to it with death threats. She'd (Chloe) call me 10 times a day telling me of her fears. She was terrified to death of the guy”. An unsubstantiated report states that she was beaten badly by one of her customers, resulting in a trip to the intensive care medicine and the decision to leave escorting and return to films. Before she was able to make her comeback, however, her health began to fail because of the abuse of alcohol and prescription drugs; she died less than two weeks before her thirtieth birthday. Very little information about her death was publicly released, except that the official cause was attributed to liver failure. Donna Jones, subsequently filed a federal lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas against the Globe, claiming she never gave the interview and the tabloid manufactured her statements. Chloe was buried at Woodlawn Garden of Memories in Houston, Texas. She left three children, Chloe (b.1996) and twin boys Tristan and Austin (b.1997). In this post we can see Chloe Jones in a scene taken from “Love Machine”, her first film.
